Sink or Float?

Today we experimented with different objects and tested to see if they would sink or float. After we tested sewing letters, blocks, paperclip, and gems, we created a boat out of clay and experimented with different shapes and sizes to get the boat to float!

Friction

To continue our investigation on friction, the Seventh Age scientists moved different objects on a smooth surface, like a table, and a rough surface, like the carpet. We discovered that the rough surfaces have more friction and therefore objects move at a slower pace.
